Mila Kunis designs charity ‘Motherhood’ Emerald Ring

emerald motherhood ringIs this the new eternity ring? Apparently so, as we learn that Mila Kunis, who is mother to new born daughter Wyatt, has designed a motherhood ring.  Yes, they call it a ‘motherhood ring’ – I know!
The 31 year old actress just gave birth to her baby daughter on October 1 and she reportedly designed the ring while she was pregnant. The ring is to celebrate becoming a mother and it is for charity and estimated to cost around $4,800.  The ring is made from yellow gold and features a centre solitaire emerald which is pear shaped. The profits from the sale of the rings will be donated to a maternity center in Zambia.
Mila teamed up with Gemfields to design the ring, they are of course the world’s leading supplier of ethically- sourced gemstones along with jewellery designer Marina B. The ring will be a limited edition and is made from 18 carat yellow gold and featuring a gemfields Zambian emerald and can be pre-ordered from Marina B’s website. Mila is said to have chosen an emerald as it is a symbol of both motherhood and hope, which is rather fitting we think.
Since giving birth Mila has kept a low profile, enjoying the first few weeks with her newborn and fiance Ashton Kutcher. Mila will return to our cinema screens later this year in the big Hollywood remake of the classic musical Annie.
We wish Mila, Ashton and Wyatt all the best and thank them for introducing us to the concept of a ‘motherhood ring’. It’s a new one on us and one I’m sure might catch on here in Ireland.
